Hello, my name is Aaron Russell. Welcome to my personal page! I was born on June 4 and I am 18 years old. I am from Ellicott City, MD, a small city that is about 15 minutes away from Baltimore and 40 minutes away from Washington D.C. I am the second oldest of 5 boys in my family so our house never lacks energy. My favorite TV shows are Psych, The Office, and Family Guy. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends, going to the beach, or just hanging out around the house. I also enjoy playing volleyball. I came to Penn State with a 75% scholarship for volleyball and will soon start playing with the team with my older brother. My dad was an All-American here on the volleyball team and, after college, became a professional beach volleyball player. When I was young, my dad always taught my brother and me the fundamentals to volleyball but I never got into it because I was always interested in the other sports, such as: soccer, football, baseball, hockey, and basketball. Once I got into high school and my older brother began playing, I began playing club and played up on my brothers team up to my senior year, once my brother graduated. Through my volleyball career, I was fortunate enough to play on the Youth National twice. Once in the NORCECA Regional Qualifier and the other time in the World Championships. This is why I have missed the first week and a half of school. This was a great experience for me and I hope I have the opportunity to do it again. After college I hope to play professional ball over seas in Europe or wherever the sport will take me. Thanks for checking out my page! I'll see you all in class and hopefully at Rec Hall for some of my matches!
